Words can not express the gratitude for ALL OF YOU who have abundantly blessed others through the Trustee Office!

Thank you Dyer Fire Department Chief Martin and Firefighter Golec for providing exceptional CPR and AED training to the St. John Township Trustee Office staff.  Up until this training, only one staff member was certified in this valuable life-saving training.

Thank you to the Towns of Dyer and Schererville postal carriers and residents for another wonderful food drive that was held Saturday, May 13th.

The 13,000 pounds of food and monetary donation collected for the St. John Township Food Pantry assists the Township in providing the best service possible to families in need in the Township. I am sincerely thankful for all of you. On behalf of my staff and the future recipients of your donation, thank you!

Thank you to all who all who attended and supported the 2nd Annual St. John Township DAV Walk.

It was a wonderful event and I thank my co-hosts the Town of Schererville, and DAV Glenn F. Renicker, Chapter #17 Department of Indiana, Hammond for all that they did to make a wonderful and successful event. This Walk is your way to assist Disabled American Veterans by raising funds and awareness of benefits available to them.

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual St. John Township DAV Walk to be held on Saturday, August24, 2024.

Thank you to everyone who came out see the New Veterans Memorials in Dyer that were dedicated on Saturday September 16, 2023

Our service to the Township clients wouldn’t be successful without the support and help of everyone who generously and abundantly give to bless those clients throughout the year. Those who partner with us range from individuals to large businesses. November and December is such a busy time in the Trustee Office; we distribute holiday meals, groceries and Christmas presents to Township clients. While we aren’t able to capture a picture with everyone who partners with us, we are able to get some from time to time. Below are pictures of some of those who partnered with us at the end of 2022.

Drive thru christmas party 2023

           A FLURRY OF FUN
On Saturday, December 9 we held the Township’s Client Drive-Thru Christmas Party.

This is held for the children of families in the Township who qualify for various types of assistance.  There were 186 children who participated! Our largest number to date.

All children receive gifts from individuals and organizations in the community who sponsor children through the Trustee office.  The children also receive donated McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A gifts cards for lunch.

The planning and coordinating of this event begins in October.  Toy drives by others for this party begin at that time as well.   Without an awesome staff and a community that is so generous, yesterday would not have been possible.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO GAVE SO THAT THESE CHILDREN CAN HAVE A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS AND HOLIDAY!

You are a blessing to everyone!

Santa with his helpers who hand out treat bags to every child. Santa takes pictures with the children and knows them by name.

Thank you to St. John Jimmy John's for your generosity in Supporting the Township Staff for the Holiday Season!

Thank you Schererville Police Department and VIPS (Jerry, Sandy and John) for your help directing traffic! Thank you Police Chief Sormaz for arranging that for us.

Staff, Township Board, and Volunteers

To everyone who stopped by Strack & VanTil in Schererville on Saturday, December 9 from 9am-1pm. Your donation has helped the Schererville Fire Department fill the St. John Township Food Pantry which is operated by the Trustee Office.

Thank you so very much!
