Must be a resident of St. John Township.

What You Need To Bring

  1. Call the office at (219) 865-2705 to make an appointment for Township Assistance.
  2. Pick up an application for township assistance at the Trustee's office ​or download the application and checklist.

  3.  Complete the Township Assistance Application.

  4.  Gather the necessary paperwork from the township checklist.

  5.  Apply for Food Stamps with FSSA at   (800)403-0864.

  6.  Apply for Energy Assistance through Lake County Community Services at                         (219) 663-0627.
